Carter's 2nd Birthday

We didn't really plan a birthday party for Carter this year. I just wasn't up for it, but we did celebrate with the family at a Chuck E. Cheese in Vegas of all places. We decided to drive up for the day to see my brother Blake's wife, Kristi, play in the Mountain West conference for woman's soccer. After the game we spent an hour driving around looking for a decent Chuck E. Cheese. We finally found one and Carter almost had as much fun as his dad who spent the whole night trying to beat the high score in "pop-a-shot". Carter made out pretty good in the gift department. His grandma and grandpa got him a new scooter, which he rides everywhere, we got him some action toys, and his uncles got him swords to fight with (He likes to pretend he's Peter Pan).

It was so good to see you too. I'm glad that you and Jessie decided to drive down. I know it meant a lot to grandma.

Looks like you guys had fun in Vegas. What little boy doesn't like swords (or big boy for that matter)? Carter looks like he had plenty of willing playmates! :)

It was so great to see you! I love when we all get together. Isn't it crazy how much things have changed. I feel like we were the kids running around out the cabin just yesterday! Now the kids are having kids. Carter is such a little stud! I can't wait to see number 2!
